My name is Lula — also known professionally as Iuliia Kritskaia.
I trained as a director of photography at the Moscow Film School and spent seven years shooting music videos, commercials, and short films on Arri Alexa, RED, and Sony FX — leading on-set teams of up to 15 people. My work has screened at festivals in Russia, Greece, and Canada.
In Argentina I worked as a set photographer with the leading commercial production companies in Latin America — Landia, Huinca, and Casta Diva — on international campaigns for Michelob, Ziploc, Ford Raptor and Glade. I also shot the backstage and director portraits for Vrutos by Miguel Bou, winner at BAFICI 2024.
Today I design album covers, vinyl artwork, and music posters. My practice spans photo compositing, handmade collage, and AI-directed generation — I'm always transparent about the process. The tools are secondary. What matters is understanding the artist's world and translating it into an image with precision.
